Canadian Drummer Shane Gaalaas

Anybody here on the board heard of Canadian rock drummer Shane Gaalaas ? He's been killing them in Japan lately with bands such as B'z and known in North America for his band Cosmosquad.

'Shane' is unfortunately another hidden treasure to be discovered very much like 'Jojo' was 5 yrs. ago. He tops my list of 'Who's Too Underrated' at the moment. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Shane's great. I've transcribed a few little things of his. He's got some cool ideas for sure. Jojo's been on my radar for a lot longer than 5 years. I sure wish I could do that thumb thing of his....

Can't wait to see him this year at the 'Montreal Drumfest'. I hope it helps him get better recognized around the globe. He surely deserves it.

Shane is a Bad ass drummer.
Saw him at NAMM a couple of years ago.

I do transcribe a lot, as well as write material for my students and ideas for myself. I've posted a lot of stuff here before and will continue to. Others I share with you in each and every issue of Drum! magazine. So subscribe! ;-)
